Alcatraz Line up: 2010, 2016, 2021

Together with Destruction and Sodom, Kreator are one of the Big Three from German thrash metal. In the eighties these bands have created the genre and are now, more than thirty years later, still a fixture in the metal scene. Kreator is undoubtedly the best known and most successful of them. Technically there is a world of difference in-between the brutal violence of their debut album ‘Endless Pain’ and the more recent work of ‘Phantom Antichrist’ but the band around singer/guitarist Mille Petrozza is still faithful to its thrash roots. After their headline show at the Brielpoort in 2010 this will be their second passage at Alcatraz Metal Festival. Expect a fine anthology of almost four decades of thrash metal.
