Rose Tattoo
Alcatraz Line up: 2019
Rose Tattoo are still one of the main musical export products Down Under. Founded in 1976, they play hard rock with blues rock influences, or in the words of vocalist Angry Anderson: “...100% adrenalin-fuelled Aussie rock ‘n’ fucking roll, played in the traditional Aussie way with passion and total commitment to the moment”. Pete Wells, the man behind Rose Tattoo’s instantly recognisable slide guitar sound, succumbed to cancer in 2006 but has since been expertly replaced by Dai Pritchard. Wells’ passing was just one of several setbacks the Aussies have faced throughout their career of 40+ years. They went on a five-year hiatus twice but reformed as many times. In 2017 three new members joined the line-up and Rose Tattoo hit the road again. Their Alcatraz club show last year proved they still know how to please a crowd so this time around we’ve invited them to a slight bigger party. Get ready for standout tracks like ‘We Can’t Be Beaten’, ‘Scarred for Life’, ‘Nice Boys (Don’t Play Rock ‘n’ Roll)’, ‘Tramp’ and ‘Bad Boy for Love’. It’s an AC/DC fan’s bread and butter but metal fans will eat this up as well.
