Alcatraz Line up: 2016

An all-female band that breathes rock-’n-roll, Alcatraz never had it yet. With the Swedish Thundermother we will solve that problem right away. Michael Monroe and Danko Jones are fan from the band, Airbourne singer/guitarist Joel O’Keeffe even mentions them among the three best bands in the world. And the ladies have solemnly pledged to rock the stage this coming summer. The band is the brainchild of guitar player Filippa Nässil who clearly has a soft spot for AC/DC reinvented hard rock. In 2010 she took her first steps in a male-dominated world but only when the Irish Clare Cunningham took over the microphone a few years later, the picture was complete. ‘Rock 'n' Roll Disaster’ from 2014 was a success already but with the recently released ‘Road Fever’ the band is really up-to-speed.
