Bio
Hailing from Denmark, Cabal brings a brutal blend of deathcore, black metal and industrial influences to the forefront of the extreme music scene. Their early work, 2016's ‘Purge’ EP and 2018's full-length ‘Mark of Rot’, explored personal pain and catharsis from a mostly standard deathcore perspective.
Then on 2020’s disquieting ‘Drag Me Down’ they started adding electronic accents to their alternately atmospheric and chaotic sound. The album generated to international attention, blending menacing riffs and vicious vocals with a raw, dystopian edge that’s both haunting and powerful. ‘Magno Interitus’ (2022) fine-tuned the new approach, culminating in this year’s ‘Everything Rots’ (2025): delving into the cyclical nature of depression, addiction and trauma, this is a savage blackened deathcore album with the incredibly versatile vocals of Andreas Bjulver as one of the standout features.
