With a name inspired on a laxative and a sound that holds the centre between goregrind and pornogrind, the conclusion is rather obvious: Alcatraz 2025 won’t get much filthier than this.
Fortunately these Czechs don’t take themselves too seriously and their approach is tongue-in-cheek. Most of the songs are about excrement and sexual depravity: their full-length debut was called ‘Shit Beast’, the second ‘Shit Happens’, the third ‘The Shutpendables’ and their latest single was splatteringly baptised ‘Diarrhero’. The accompanying video with the ‘shitty’ action hero that arrives in true Terminator style and faces off with Darth Vader is nothing short of hilarious. Love ‘em or hate ‘em but they’re bound to leave some serious skid marks this summer.
