Izegrim is a Dutch thrash and death metal band, founded in 1996 by guitarist Jeroen Wechgelaer and drummer Joep van Leeuwen.
Since 2008, Jeroen has been the only original member still active. After several lineup changes, Izegrim underwent a significant transformation in 2008 when Marloes Voskuil took over vocals, giving the band a more mature and direct sound. They released several albums, including 'Code of Consequences' (2011), 'Congress of the Insane' (2013), and 'The Ferryman's End '(2016). Their last show took place in 2019 during their farewell tour before disbanding. Their planned shows in 2020 in the Netherlands, England and Germany were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the band is set to return in January 2026 with a performance at the 70,000 Tons Of Metal festival, where they will celebrate their reunion and mark the 30th anniversary of Izegrim. This will be their first show since 2019 and a new chapter for the band. We are truly excited to welcome them to our festival!
