Alcatraz Line up: 2016

Once described by Slash as ‘the coolest female rock ‘n roll guitarist with a Gibson Explorer in hand’. We must equally go back in time for a Lita Ford show on Belgian soil. There's her passage at Heavy Sound Festival in Poperinge in 1984. The last time she performed in Belgium was on the 15th of December 1988, when the graceful blonde shared the stage with Bon Jovi at Forest National. Ten years earlier, Lita had even been with The Runaways (with also Joan Jett in the ranks) on the fields of the diptych Torhout/Werchter. The last two decades she's been more focused on the United States, the country where she immigrated to with her British father and Italian mother when she was only eight years old. We didn't hesitate for a single moment when we at Alcatraz were exclusively contacted for an exclusive show on Belgian soil. And admittedly, not only in the eighties, but even now our hearts are still beating for Lita.
