Bio
Symphonic power metal centred around fantasy-style stories: that is Majestica in a nutshell. Singer/guitarist Tommy Johansson has been active for 25 years and the band originally formed in 2004 as ReinXeed, ultimately rebranding as Majestica in 2019.
ReinXeed started out as Johannson’s solo project but as from the second album he was able to recruit personnel to flesh out the band. In the 2008-2013 period, they dropped a new album every year but then the record machine ground to a halt, due in part to Tommy’s decision to join Sabaton (2016-2024), where he quickly became a crowd favourite. He then returned to recording ways in 2019 with Majestica’s debut ‘Above the Sky’ and following his departure from Sabaton he has continued to work on Majestica’s upcoming third studio album ‘Power Train’, which is set for a 2025 release.
