Masterplan was founded in 2002 by Roland Grapow and Uli Kusch, both recently departed from Helloween.
Their debut album, 'Masterplan', instantly caused a stir in the melodic metal scene from 2003 onward. With vocalist Jørn Lande, keyboardist Axel Mackenrott and bassist Jan S. Eckert, the band quickly established itself as a supergroup with a series of highly acclaimed albums. Despite lineup changes, Masterplan remains a leading name in the genre. Their fresh new album, 'Metalmorphosis', is scheduled for release in January 2026. Get ready for an irresistible dose of melodic metal at Alcatraz!
