Hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as the best metal band of their generation, Mastodon deliver an intelligent mix of rock, metal, thrash, punk and psychedelica.
Formed in 2000 by Troy Sanders (bass/vocals), Brent Hinds (guitar/vocals), Bill Kelliher (guitar/backing vocals) and Brann Dailor (drums/vocals),the original line-up is still intact to this day. Their debut album made a serious impact thanks to its unique sound and inventive approach. Built around the story of Moby Dick, the concept album ‘Leviathan’ (2004) forced a global breakthrough and music magazines Revolver, Kerrang! and Terrorizer named it their album of the year. Since then they’ve graced the world’s biggest stages. In anticipation of their new album they dropped a split album with Lamb of God in 2024 and toured the globe to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their landmark ‘Leviathan’ album. Fans will also enjoy the deluxe edition of their 2009 album ‘Crack the Skye’.
