Guitar legend Michael Schenker is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his time in UFO with a tour we can’t wait to welcome.
When a frightfully young Michael joined UFO in late 1973, he went on to make an essential contribution to the British band’s success. The German Wunderkind blossomed into one of the most famous six string kings of the age. His time in UFO produced such landmark albums as ‘Phenomenon’ (1974), ‘Lights Out’ (1977) and the live album ’Strangers in the Night’ (1978). He co-wrote world hits such as ‘Doctor Doctor’ and ‘Rock Bottom’ and inspired the likes of Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman, Rhandy Roads, Gary Holt, Kerry King, Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett to name but a few. Come and celebrate fifty years of UFO and half a century of exceptional musicianship this summer at Alcatraz.
