Mortal Sin formed in the mid-1980s in the western suburbs of Sydney and quickly became a leading band in the Australian metal scene.
Their Metallica-inspired debut album, 'Mayhemic Destruction', helped them gain international attention, establishing them by 1987 as Australia's top thrash metal act. Despite internal tensions and lineup changes, the band remained active, making a strong comeback in 2004 with new material and tours. In 2025, Mortal Sin celebrated the 40th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut with a revamped lineup and a European tour in 2026, including a show at our festival. Don't miss it!
