This brainchild of Max Cavalera and Alex Newport saw the light of day in the early 90s as a side project.
Just a bit of fun they said… and thirty years later it’s still fun and this summer we’re welcoming them to Alcatraz! Max and Alex holed up in the bedroom of the Cavalera family’s nanny with nothing but a sampler. They created a hodgepodge of beats, riffs and other assorted noise best described as an amalgamation of thrash, industrial, hardcore punk and metalcore and the end result was… a record deal. Following the release of ‘Point Blank’, the ball really got rolling with a unique show at the Netherland’s Dynamo Open Air festival as the icing on the cake – be sure to check the video of the show. In 2017 the duo briefly revisited the project but after that it looked like curtains for Nailbomb but now Nailbomb are back to spread some more hate. The line-up consists of Max Cavalera, his youngest son Igor Amadeus Cavalera, Stone Sour’s Johny Chow and Pig Destroyer members Travis Stone, Alex Cha and Adam Jarvis.
