Since 2008, Wallonia-based Slaughter Messiah have been mercilessly hacking their way through the Belgian and international metal scene.
They ply a brand of metal that can be described as a brutal blend of black, death and thrash metal. They flew below the radar for a long time and their output remained limited to occasional demos and several EP’s. In 2020, however, their outstanding full-length debut ‘Cursed to the Pyre’ was a true breakout album, turning on hordes of new fans to the band. In 2024 they dropped the EP ‘Exorcized to None’, which gave them access to a much wider audience. So what to expect? Metal in it rawest, true form, devoid of modern trappings. It’s a sound drummer John Berry describes as ‘ancient metal of death’. You’ve been warned.
