Terrifier formed in 2003 in Vancouver, Canada under their initial name Skull Hammer. Their blistering debut 'Destroyers of the Faith' turned more than a few heads and when they rebranded as Terrifier, their commitment to lightning-speed old-school thrash remained unchanged.
Taking inspiration from bands like Slayer, Kreator and Exodus, Terrifier blends technical precision with an unrelenting intensity that makes their live shows an all-out assault on the senses and the neck muscles. The rampage continued on their sophomore outing – and breakout record - ‘Weapons of Thrash Destruction’ (2017). The album cemented their reputation with scorching solos, breakneck drumming and adrenaline-fuelled aggression. Tracks like ‘Reanimator’ and ‘Sect of the Serpent’ demonstrate their ability to write classic thrash bangers with a modern edge. The classic thrash attack continues on their latest chunk ‘Trample the Weak, Devour the Dead’ (2023): more thrash to the fullest extent albeit with the occasional longer track that illustrates that Terrifier are no one-trick pony. If you crave high-speed, neck-snapping thrash with supernova intensity then Terrifier is your band. Fans of Havok, Exodus, Heathen or, closer to home, Distillator, will have no choice but to hit the pit on this one.
