Vacuous is that kind of death metal band that lingers in your ears.
This London-based quintet, formed in 2020, knows how to create a suffocating atmosphere with heavy riffs, icy tension and emotional depth. Their sound feels like they've let the destructive chaos of the '90s blossom into a dark, modern style, drawing influences from legends like Obituary, Incantation, and Autopsy. Their second album, 'In His Blood' (2025), takes you on an intense, bleak journey filled with speed, rage and drama. The themes are harsh and relentless - death, violence, hopelessness - but the band seeks not shock value, rather the emotional core behind it all. Vacuous dares to venture into darkness and finds a strange kind of beauty in it. Dirty? Certainly. But also intelligent, gripping and highly recommended.
