Alcatraz Line up: 2024

An ode to touring life by a hard rock ‘n’ rolling band, a nod to memorable encounters on the road and energetic live shows. That’s Danko Jones, nothing more, nothing less. Since 1996 the Canadian hard rock trio consists of founding members Danko Jones (vocals/guitar) and John ‘JC’ Calabrese (bass); drummer Rich Knox joined over a decade ago. Originally they weren’t even planning to release an album as they preferred the band’s reputation to spread through word of mouth – and it worked, too! Still, they did eventually release studio albums, with the excellent ‘Electric Sounds’ (2023) as their most recent contribution. The constant touring has made them popular favourites at venues and festivals across the globe and we’re confident our inmates will give them a warm welcome. Watch out for such live staples as ‘Code of the Road’, the naughty ‘I Think Bad Thoughts’, ‘I Wanna Rock’ and fan favourite ‘My Little RnR’.
