With the charismatic Blackie Lawless at the helm, W.A.S.P. have been a force to be reckoned with on the heavy metal & glam rock scene ever since their inception in 1982.
As every metal fan knows, Blackie doesn’t shy away from a little controversy. W.A.S.P. made a name for themselves with their shock rock image and often provocative lyrics, but they always backed that up with explosive live shows. They impressed metal fans worldwide with their first two albums, ‘W.A.S.P.’ (1984) and ‘The Last Command’ (1985). Their lyrics were bound to enrage the PMRC but Blackie couldn’t care less. On the contrary, he took things up another notch with ‘Harder, Faster’. The Crimson Idol tour (2007) featuring the 1992 concept album of the same name is legendary and in 2012 they went on a special tour in celebration of the band’s 30th anniversary. We don’t doubt for one second that classics like ‘Animal (F**k Like a Beast)’, ‘I Wanna Be Somebody’ and ‘Wild Child’ will set our prison yard ablaze!
