Skeletal Remains is an American death metal band founded in 2011 under the name Anthropophagy. The foursome play straight-up old school death metal, the right way.
In late 2012 they exploded onto the scene with their full-length debut ‘Beyond the Flesh’, resulting in a busy European festival summer in Europe. Fans of Asphyx, Pestilence, Massacre, Autopsy, and Death ate it up. They continued to forge a solid reputation on this side of the Atlantic, even achieving a certain measure of commercial success with their third slab ‘Devouring Mortality’. In recent years they have been at the forefront of the new wave of American death metal. At Alcatraz they will showcase cuts off their new ‘Fragments of the Ageless’ CD, which is slated for a March 2024 release.
