Alcatraz Line up: 2025

Bruges-based Cobracide deliver a pummelling mix of thrash and death metal with punk grit. Formed in 2021, their maiden single ‘Trails of Destruction’ made waves on the underground scene, instantly establishing them as a promising new band. They describe their music as death thrash, drawing inspiration from bands like Slayer, Death, Demolition Hammer, Sepultura and Necrodeath. In the summer of 2022 they unleased their first EP. Recorded with Evil Invaders guitarist Max Mayhem at the helm, ‘Inner Aggression’ includes, in addition to the early Kreator-style title track, the aforementioned ‘Trail of Destruction’, ‘Schizophrenic Decay’, ‘Arrival of the Dead’ and an awesome cover of the Slayer classic ‘Black Magic’. This excellent and varied offering is just a taste of what we hope to hear from them on their upcoming maiden album, which is currently in the final stages of completion. The live stage is where they truly shine and they’ve been roaming the country over the last few years, building a solid fan base as they go. They once said in an interview it would be awesome to play Alcatraz and we just know they’ll rip the Morgue to shreds on Sunday.
