At their overwhelming Alcatraz performance in 2024, Norwegian black metal icons Satyricon proved why they remain at the top of the genre.
The band centers on vocalist Satyr and drummer Frost, who have long been the group's core and soul. Their latest studio album appeared in 2017, with the atmospheric 'Satyricon & Munch' (2022) released for a unique exhibition at the world-famous Munch Museum. Frost says the band is currently working on a new album in the studio. Their previous Alcatraz success was so great that they will return in 2026.
