Parking

Out of respect for local residents, it is forbidden to park your car in the immediate vicinity of the festival. The official Alcatraz car park is the parking area at Kortrijk Xpo / Kinepolis for day visitors, and the surrounding car parks of Vives and Syntra for campers.

Parking for day visitors:

At the day parking of Kortrijk Xpo you pay €9 per day (single-use ticket).

Parking for campers:

At the camper parkings you pay €20 for the full duration of the festival, from Thursday until Monday, and you can enter and leave freely (multi-use ticket).

If all parkings are full, you will be redirected to overflow car parks.

Shuttle buses

Free shuttle buses run to the festival from the camper parkings (Doorniksesteenweg – Syntra entrance) and the day visitors’ parking (Kortrijk Xpo – South entrance) at the following times:

Thursday: 08:00 – 03:00
Friday: 08:00 – 03:00
Saturday: 08:00 – 03:00
Sunday: 08:00 – 03:00
Monday: 08:00 – 12:30

KISS & RIDE

The KISS & RIDE zone can be found at Etienne Sabbelaan. This zone is located less than 1000 metres from the festival entrance. Use the following coordinates to reach the KISS & RIDE zone:

Stopping and parking are prohibited in other places in the immediate vicinity of the festival. Pick-up and drop-off are not allowed in these zones. These areas are monitored by the traffic police.

Bicycles

You can park your bicycle right next to the festival entrance. An (unguarded) bicycle parking area is provided.

Motorbikes

Motorbikes can park for free at the KULAK parking in Etienne Sabbelaan. Follow the signs.

PUBLIC BUSES (DE LIJN)

Timetable for line 3 from Kortrijk Station to Lange Munte:

Weekdays: first bus at 06:10, last bus at 19:40 (every 30 minutes)
Saturdays: first bus at 06:40, last bus at 19:40 (every 30 minutes)
Sundays: first bus at 08:25, last bus at 19:25 (hourly)

Timetable for line 3 from Lange Munte to Kortrijk Station:

Weekdays: first bus at 05:53, last bus at 19:53 (every 30 minutes)
Saturdays: first bus at 06:53, last bus at 19:53 (every 30 minutes)
Sundays: first bus at 08:39, last bus at 18:39 (hourly)

official taxis

There is a taxi rank for official Kortrijk rank taxis at the extension of the shuttle drop-off and pick-up point in Ambassadeur Baertlaan. Festival visitors who wish to leave Alcatraz this way can use the following services:

Ride to the back of the station: €20 per ride ()
Ride to the city centre (within the R36 ring road): €25 per ride ()
For all other destinations, the prices displayed in the taxi apply.

(*) If the taxi can take more than 4 passengers: €5 per passenger with a minimum of €20 (station) and €25 (city centre).

Other (street) taxis, Uber, etc. can be found outside the safety perimeter at the Kiss & Ride zone mentioned below.
