After an involuntary hiatus one of the most promising thrash bands is back with a vengeance. In 2002 Sanity’s Rage materialised in the suburbs of our nation’s capital and was formed by two musicians with a predilection for old-school thrash metal.
This was no mean feat at a time when the genre was fighting a rearguard action but they pulled it off: the EP ‘The Rage of One’ (2006) made waves on the international scene and the subsequent full album ‘You Are What You Swallow’ (2012) heightened the hype. Then disaster struck and the band was inactive for a number of years but in 2022 the self-titled single ‘Sanity’s Rage’ announced the resurrection of the original line-up. So what’s next? Another full album? Meanwhile we’re more than happy to lose our sanity to their Alcatraz debut.
